Thought Labs Releases “Essential Facebook Development” May 19th, 2010

boston website designOur friends over at Thought Labs recently completed their new book “Essential Facebook Development“. With it’s release, Metropolis Creative designed a website to promote the book. The challenge was to symbolize the default aesthetics of Facebook while still showing that it can be customized. The finished site is clean and informative with a clear call-to-action to buy the book from Amazon.

    Brochure and Poster Design:

The State of Massachusetts' Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Nutrition Program needed two print pieces designed to attract the attention of mothers in specific neighborhoods and demographics. Metropolis reviewed the goals, target audience, listened to user experience feedback from the state team and designed a 3.25" x 8.25" 4 color brochure and 11" x 17" matching poster. The pieces addressed the importance of consistent messaging with familiar imagery that would resonate with the target audience. Specifically, age appropriate babies and children were used as primary design imagery along with primary colors and straight forward narrative. The items were also translated into seven languages.

The WIC program is happily benefiting by seeing response rates and solid familiarity with their brand.
