Connecting banks to communities.
The brand we created for MCBC was one of warmth and inclusion. They serve as a community outreach vehicle and needed bright friendly colors and photos from the community to support their brand. The site is fully responsive and offers quick information that is easy to digest with clear calls to action.
Massachusetts Community & Banking Council was established in 1990 to provide a collaborative forum for Massachusetts financial institutions and community organizations to meet and share information with the goal of affecting positive change in the availability of credit and financial services in traditionally underserves communities across the Commonwealth.
Custom Home Page Design
A unique display of content.
The MCBC site has a large number of specially-designed UI elements, some of which move on page load. The custom-designed elements help simplify the messaging to a broader audience through the careful use of color, margins, font styles, and image selection.
Custom integration and content-management.
We worked closely with both MCBC and the UMass Donahue Institute to integrate their Tableau data tables into the site. The solution was to build a content-managed system of pages that allows MCBC to create pages and add Tableau embed links. This allows the site to be editable as they add more Tableau functionality over time.
The Communicator Award
MCBC’s responsive website is entirely content-managed by them — even in areas that were custom designed. This enables them to keep their site updated more regularly, without having to pay an outside developer. Metropolis has added larger pieces of functionality over the years as their needs evolve.
