Located Within a historic firehouse built in 1875, TCAN connects hundreds of artists with thousands of patrons each year.

The main stage is an intimate listening room, with no seats located further than ten rows from the stage. TCAN’s primary performance space is roughly 3,000 square feet in size and has seating for 270 patrons. In the rear of the room are a tech booth for audio and lighting engineers, and a merchandise area in the back corner. A fully-equipped concession stand is located in the lobby, serving an assortment of snacks and beverages at most performances. Upstairs, a  renovated Cinema Room combines historic architecture with state-of-the-art digital projection equipment and provides comfortable seating for 120 patrons. The Cinema Room is also used for acoustic concerts, spoken word events, and private functions.

Metropolis Creative exceeded our expectations as a website developer. From inception to launch, they demonstrated a profound understanding of our organization's mission, goals, and audience dynamics. Their attentive listening, keen understanding of our brand, and dedication to user-friendly navigation resulted in a site that not only captivates but also empowers our audience. The professionalism, creativity, and collaborative approach of the Metropolis team has made them invaluable partners.

Navigation System

A customized navigation system lets users quickly select the events they’re interested it. It also allows TCAN to promote featured events with an image and description.

Events Calendar Tool

We implemented a calendar tool that allows users to see all upcoming events in a list or calendar view while giving them the ability to filter by category, venue, and genre. This user-friendly interface design is quick and easy to use.

Every website design starts with a set of wireframes to help us better understand what content is needed on each page. A good page design should tell a story in the right order. Size and position help set the hierarchy of how the content will be consumed. The bulk of the site’s structure happens in these blueprints before we move on to the color design mockups.

The Results

TCAN’s new website now delivers the same level of excitement and quality as their live events and performances. The events calendar is easily accessible across all devices, and syncs with their PatronManager ticketing system. The client can now manage the entire site with ease, from creating and editing new pages to adding events and more, using the WordPress editor.
