This fully-responsive website design highlights the client’s key products and application areas. The site loads extremely fast by using the latest CSS graphic and animation capabilities. Custom illustrations help explain the technology while staying on-brand.

Cytonome is a Boston-based life sciences company that brings the power of simplified cell sorting to the core lab and to your lab. They make application-specific, cell purification tools, small enough to sit on your desktop and powerful enough to find the rarest of cells.

Brand Identity

Cytonome was in a period of rebirth. They needed to exit the gate with a bold new look. They were just getting ready to launch a vastly different new product for a whole new market. The new logo redesign mimics their technology by taking the “C” from their name and putting it in motion. We defined the typeface and colors to feel modern and fresh.

Logo Sketching

Throughout the entire sketching phase, our team met multiple times before deciding on the most compelling concept to present to the client.

Reverse Logo

Although the primary version (top) of the logo is being used for the majority of the time against white backgrounds, we also needed to define how the reverse version would appear when used against darker backgrounds.

Marketing Materials

From product business cards to trade show booths, the new branding is consistently applied throughout each marketing piece in a way that feels unique and memorable to Cytonome.

High quality assets for a high quality brand

We created a series of technical illustrations to explain the concepts behind Cytonome’s technology, without giving away any intellectual property. We also re-shot the photography of their glass chip for better clarity.

Smooth motion throughout the site

In addition to an animated products menu, other pages had subtle motion with headlines sliding in or softer transitions between images. This level of polish enhances the overall brand of the client.

The Results

Cytonome launched their new website right before a big product announcement at a major industry show. They re-emerged as a strong cutting-edge life sciences company.
